Edson's fully integrated system of "off-the-shelf" NAVCOM Tower Components makes it easy for any boat owner to create a tower that meets their special boating requirements. Best of all, Edson NAVCOM Tower Components come pre-finished ready to install. Everything simply bolts together. There's no machining or welding required. 1 Start with the radar platform that fits your radar. 2 Select the proper size mast to support your radome. 3 Choose the mounting system you feel will make the best installation. 4 Add any of Edson's NAVCOM Accessories to complete your custom tower. 1 Step 1: Radar Platform Edson offers four mounting platforms to fit most Radomes. The Deluxe Platform measures 15"/38 cm in diameter and comes with an aerodynamically formed protective fiberglass under-cowling to protect the wiring. The Standard Large Platform is also 15"(38 cm) in diameter. Both platforms are recommended for the larger 24 mile radars. The Standard Small Platform is 11" x 11" (28 cm x 28 cm) and is designed for 8 and 16 mile radars. It is pre-drilled to fit most common Radomes, including the new Raytheon Pathfinder. The Basic Radar Platform is 8.5" x 8.5" (22 cm x 22 cm) and is designed for a small radome only. All Edson Radar Platforms are cast in marine quality 356 T6 aluminum and have durable glossy white baked-on urethane coatings. Deluxe Platform. They are both heavy wall 6061 T-6 aluminum. The Deluxe Masts have a durable white baked-on urethane coating that matches the platforms. The Standard Masts have a brushed anodized finish.
