The most popular and versatile mounting system is the Thru-Deck Tube Mount. A heavy-duty fiberglass tube is simply fitted through a hole in the deck and fiberglassed to the underside of the deck and the hull. The mast slides into the tube and is pinned to prevent rotation. This installation is fast and makes easy seasonal removal. The tubes are available for the 31/2" Deluxe or 2 3/8" Standard masts and are easily cut to fit any hull form. Standard 55" Tube. Another system for thru-deck mounting uses a pair of specially designed Mounting Flanges. The standard 2-3/8" mast uses Flanges that are both 3"x 5". The Deluxe Flanges are 6" in diameter. The ThruDeck Flange is bored so the mast will pass straight through. The Base Flange has a shoulder to support the bottom of the mast. Edson suggests that large washers or backing plates be used when securing these Flanges to the deck or hull structures. The Deck Mount Base is used where a rugged base is desired to minimize the need for thru-deck installations. The Base measures 10" x 12" and comes in two sizes to fit the 3-1/2" Deluxe or 2-3/8" Standard masts. The Space Saver Deck Bases is used where space is at a premium. This Base will only fit the Standard 2-3/8" Mast. It measures 5"x 7" and should be used in conjunction with support struts or top brackets. Folding and Pivoting Base Mounts Fold Down Towers are perfect for trailer boats, low bridge clearance and end of the season storage. By using a Pivot Bracket and Fold Down Adapter with your Standard Radar Mast, you can also mount your radar on a raked transom or coaming side. Use Right Angle Base if mounting to a vertical surface and folding tower fore and aft. Fold Down Adapter for 3-1/2" Mast Top Supports Rail Support Bracket for 2-3/8" Radar Mast Designed to give support to a 2-3/8" Radar Mast along a 1" horizontal railing.
