C&C 51 Steering System Installation

From Hayden Cochran - Island Packet 35 owner:

Dear Edson,

We have the new CD-i helm installed and it worked out GREAT! Outstanding engineering and design. My compliments to the company and all involved...

Thanks again for a great product,
Hayden

Hayden put together a detailed web page on his IP35 conversion from traditional-style under seat Rack and Pinion to the new Edson CD-i Rack and Pinion system. Check it out here.

From Paul Epp - Northern 29 owner:

Hello Edson
I have purchased your steering pedestal and linkages, i.e.: kit for a "29 Northern" and I have found zero fault with your recommended installation or setup. I found that it was very easy and straight forward. Obviously your engineering team is on top of all, we found that all the parts were included in the conversion.
Thank you,
Paul Epp

From Morgan 43 HIPPO's CAMP owner Dominique Eustache:

Hi,

I don't know if you ever had a chance to see my review in Latitudes & Attitudes Jan.2007 of the EDSON steering system that I have had on my MORGAN 43...for the past 21 years.

It's been put to extreme testing over the past 10 years/50,000 miles that we have devoted to our circumnavigation.

A letter to Florida Sportsman concerning the Edson PowerKnob...

Mr. Bob Mitchell
FLORIDA SPORTSMAN

Dear Bob,

It is not very often that I have been so compelled to sit down and write
a memo regarding the quality of a product that I just found in the May
issue of Florida Sportsman.

I had been looking for quite some time for a high-quality "wheel
spinner" to no avail. Then I found an advertisement for the Edson Pro-Series "Power
Knob". It looked like it would be the high-end product I was looking
for, so I immediately went to their web site www.edsonintl.com for more
detailed information. My application called for a direct bolt-thru installation
as opposed to the typical strap-on model - so I called the company directly
to see if this was available. It was, and I am now in receipt of what has
to be the best product on the market today. I installed it myself including
drilling and tapping the custom aluminum wheel on my boat (per
instructions provided by Edson).

Bob, all I can say is "If NASA was ever in need of a wheel spinner,
their selection would be the "Power Knob" hands down! I don't know if you've
ever seen the product yourself, but I can now personally attest to my fellow
Florida Sportsman subscribers that this is a Best-In-Class product that
deserves a look-see from other yacht owners who want the very best.

Kind Regards,
Mike Jackson
